What Combination Surgeries Are Common In Plastic Surgery?
Added on 12th February 2021
Combination surgeries have been increasing over the years and this mainly because patients only want one recovery and go under anaesthetic once. In terms of safety, it’s very important that whatever combination is determined is appropriate and can be carried out in under 4 hours. We know that the increase in complications and risk that not only comes from the general anaesthesia but also the surgery, increases dramatically around the 4 hour period.
The various combinations that are commonly performed and certainly facial rejuvenation when a facelift and neck lift, eyes and brows are addressed at the same time is a relatively common procedure.
Other combinations include breasts and abdominal rejuvenation procedures of which the most common is abdominoplasty and a breast augmentation plus or minus a breast lift.
