Mr Gary Ross is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon in the North West of England and is a fully accredited Plastic Surgeon on the General Medical Council’s specialist register for plastic surgery. Mr Ross’s practice is based at BMI The Alexandra Hospital, Cheshire. Mr Ross is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Manchester in the School of Cancer and Imaging Sciences. As an Honorary Lecturer, Mr Ross actively teaches undergraduate Medical Students, as well as Postgraduate Plastic Surgical Trainees.

Training
Having qualified in medicine at the University of Bristol, Mr Ross underwent surgical training in Australia, Bristol and Plymouth before commencing his career in the Plastic Surgery field in 1997. Mr Ross undertook a number of fellowships including, Mentor International Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at King Edward VII Hospital, London; North West Aesthetic Fellowship in Chester, Liverpool and Manchester; One year Oncoplastic fellowship in Toronto, Canada (breast and head and neck surgery); two year fellowship in Canniesburn Hospital, Glasgow (head and neck and facial plastics).
Summary of curriculum vitae
Mr Ross gained experience in the Plastic Surgery units of Plymouth and Bristol; he then spent a further two years in the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit, Glasgow as a head and neck fellow. Mr Ross subsequently went on to complete a higher doctorate (MD) in head and neck surgery. Following this, Mr Ross completed his speciality plastic surgery training programme in the North West, leading to a further qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS plast) and subsequently the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). In 2007 Mr Ross took up a consultant post in the NHS in 2007 and having retired from the NHS in 2013 now provides plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic treatments from his private practice based at the BMI Alexandra in Cheadle.
Mr Ross is internationally respected and is a leading figure within the Plastic Surgery industry. Over the course of his career, Mr Ross has published numerous articles both nationally and internationally and has presented across the globe on over 200 occasions. Mr Ross has organized various international conferences and instructional courses in addition. Mr Ross is currently a mentor for BAAPS and currently provides anatomical cadaveric workshops for aesthetic training
In day to day practice, Mr Ross provides an individualised approach to each of his patients. All patients are fully informed of the pros, cons and risks of surgery and a detailed consenting process is undertaken to ensure patients are fully informed. In order to provide optimal results, Mr Ross applies the newest most innovative techniques in his practice.
