When Can I Go Back To Work Following An Arm Lift?
Added on 23rd April 2021
An arm lift usually involves scars that are placed on the under surface of the arm. They are usually placed in a way that they’re hidden, normally along from the elbow and up the armpit. Sometimes it can be a shorter scar that is placed more in the armpit only, and often that scar transcends down onto the chest wall. Often liposuction is done at the same time and so the recovery afterwards is dependent a little bit on the extent of the surgery and the preoperative starting point. Also, everyone recovers differently.
How Long Should I Take Off Work?
In terms of how long someone should take off work it also depends on what they do. I always recommend patients take two weeks off and that is usually sufficient for the majority of people, although those in manual labour doing a lot of lifting may well be more at the four to six week period before they’re fully back to doing everything that they normally do.
