What Are The Disadvantages Of Round Implants?

What are round implants?
Breast implants can come in a variety of shapes and sizes. This makes it easier to accommodate the implant procedure to your needs. Round implants are simply, round implants. The maximum volume of the breast implant is in the centre of a round implant.
Disadvantages of round implants
Natural breasts have a slight teardrop appearance
Naturally, when we see a breast they tend to have a slight teardrop appearance. This means more volume is seen towards the bottom of the breasts rather than directly in the centre. In a round implant, the majority of the volume tends to be focused around the centre of the breast. This means that using a round implant won’t give a natural-looking aesthetic shaped breast.
They don’t expand the skin naturally
Implants should be seen as ways to expand the natural breast tissue rather than completely changing the breast. With a round implant, the skin tissue will expand in a round shape rather than a natural shape. Rounder implants will also expand the upper pole which will provide a more fake-looking appearance.
Lower projected round implants
Whilst there are disadvantages of round implants, there can be slight variations that can overcome the breast from appearing less artificial. The projection of the implant can vary as lower projected round implants will lower projection in the centre compared to the edges.
In lower projected round implants, there is less chance of the upper pole over expanding compared to the traditional round implant.
