Can I Drive After An Arm Lift?
Added on 20th January 2021
Why it’s important to know whether you can drive after an arm lift
Declaring whether you can drive after an arm lift is truly for the purpose of the insurance company that you are with as well as for your own safety. It tends to be stated that if you’re ever required to do an emergency stop, you need to have the ability to drive the vehicle you are in.
Driving after having the surgery
At UK Aesthetic, we tend to strongly advise that you’re dropped off for your appointment and also picked up following the surgery. This is to prevent any further strain on your arms and also avoid any further complications that could be interrupted by arm movement. This also applies when you’re due for your post-op check-up appointment after a week.
After a week, if it’s decided that your recovery is going well at your check-up then you should normally be able to drive. However, it would be difficult to say that you would be able to drive home without any complications having only just had the arm lift surgery. It’s therefore advised and can be a benefit for you if you’re transported to and from the surgery by someone else.
Essentially, we’d advise that to drive after an arm lift surgery should be left for at least a week before you decide to get back behind the wheel.
