There are many different forms of liposuction and often the key to liposuction is to be at your ideal weight. 

Patient Criteria For Repeat Liposuction

This involves your BMI being under 30, your weight being stable, with no intentions of further conception of children, and finally, if you have done your best to try and lose the weight, even around the stubborn areas.

Does Repeat Liposuction Work?

As long as there aren’t any irregularities involved with having a repeat procedure, liposuction can always be performed around the same area as previously done. Once fat cells have been removed by liposuction they do not grow back, therefore if you have liposuction again, you are liposuctioning other fat cells. 

Limiting Factors of Repeat Liposuction 

It is very important to not lipo-suct, and most importantly to ensure that patients are fit and well enough to undergo a second surgery. If patients do not have a sufficient level of fat to be removed, this may also hinder the success of a repeat liposuction.
